My cat is a big fan

This scratcher is a unique shape I think is helping provide an appealing alternative to scratching the carpet. It was simple to put together and I love that I can buy replacement scratching pads when needed. It looks nice too. My cat started using it immediately.

Excellent Purchase

Scracher is well designed with excellent components, and it looks great. Easy to put together, but I was clueless as to which configuration was most suited to my cats. I ended up picking the middle triangle but in the first few days of use, all the scratching is at the bottom of the unit. I may switch it over to horizontal - or maybe we’ll buy a 2nd unit and directly compare how that works. Anyway, the three cats love it but it’s mostly being hogged by the alpha guy - another reason to get a second scratcher. We’ll see how this works out over the next few weeks...

So far so good. I've only tried it flat / horizontal thus far, and she def likes perching on it and she's just now starting to get into scratching it. Seems like a great purchase, though when she nears the end with her whole body weight it does try to tip up like a seesaw. That's the only minor drawback I've noticed.

Mau Pets Cat Scratcher

I loved the aesthetic design of the scratcher, however if my cat steps too close to either end of the scratcher, the scratcher tips over. I had to put something under each end to prevent tipping while in use.

I'll Scratch Your Back if You'll ... okay, Nevermind!

So far, no luck. I successfully redirected my kitten's desire to scratch my couches by putting plastic sheets over his favorite spots. I showed him the vertical rope poles on his kitty tree, and voila - no more trouble with couches. Unfortunately, he decided to start scratching the living room carpet recently, leaving tufts of fibers here, there, and everywhere. I put the cat Mau Pet Cat Scratcher over his favorite area, hoping I could redirect his energy there. Nope. He just chose a different spot on the carpet. I have moved the Scratcher around the living room, and have positioned it twice, hoping to catch his attention, to no avail. I think my guy likes to scratch natural fibers over cardboard. Fortunately, the Scratcher is attractive enough that I'm willing to leave it out in hopes that someday, maybe, he'll decide it's worth a try.
